All About the Lake

Location

Majestic Maligne Lake fills the “Hall of the Gods” at the end of the road, about 45 minutes (50 km) outside the community of Jasper.

We host over 110,000 guests between May and October at the lake.

Getting Around

The town of Jasper is a highly active mountain community that retains its small-town character while offering a full range of shops, restaurants and sporting outfitters. Our staff shuttle runs daily between town and the lake (a 45 minute drive). Get out and about around Maligne on the lakeside trails and with free canoe rentals, and buddy up with friends with wheels to travel further afield.

Staff Housing

Live lakeside or live in town — two accommodation options are available to our Maligne Lake staff. Built in 2018, Camp Chaba at Maligne Lake is a remote living experience just off the shores of the lake. Stay cozy in staff dormitories suited to two roomies per room, a shared common room, kitchen and laundry on site. Our in-town accommodation are dormitory style, which means you will one to four roommates with shared washroom, kitchen and common areas. Staff accommodation fees start from $15/day and are automatically payroll deducted. Water, power, heat, and basic Wi-Fi are included in staff accommodation fees.

Disconnect

We love spending our days in one of the most iconic landscapes of our world — and we’re determined to spend our time here “in the moment!” There isn’t cell phone service or Wi-Fi at Maligne Lake, so we’re all about being disconnected.
