Pursuit Collection

Every day at the Columbia Icefield, our Glacier Adventure team provides an experience to be checked off the bucket lists of guests from all over the globe—standing on your own two feet on an ancient glacier.

During a thrilling trip on an all-terrain Ice Explorer vehicle specially designed for glacier travel, we fill our guests in on the power of the glacial ice and let them feel it for themselves as they touch and feel the ice at our stopping point on the glacier.

All About the Glacier

In the heart of the Rockies on the iconic Icefield Parkway, we’re about 2.5 hours (185 km) from Banff to the south and 1.5 hours (105 km) from Jasper to the north.

The Team

Team members: 150 strong!

Our Guests

We host over 450,000 guests between April and October at the Glacier Adventure.

Getting Around
We hike, climb and sometimes even ski right from our doorstep on the Icefields Parkway. Staff accommodation is just a few minutes’ walk from the Discovery Centre, so vehicles aren’t required, but are good for exploring further afield. Regular buses take our team to the mountain community of Jasper (1.5 hour drive) for shopping, exploring and socializing.
Staff Housing

Our team lives and breathes the Icefield, with the views from our staff accommodation looking out on the rugged peaks that surround us. Our teams stays cozy at the “Ice Palace” in shared rooms suited for two roomies per room. Shared washrooms, common areas and laundry are on site. Lodging includes three hearty meals per day at our staff dining room.

Stay Connected
Are you the type who turns your cell phone ringer off so you never have to hear it ring? Then you’ll fit right in at the Icefield, where we embrace the disconnect of remote living away from cell phone service. We’ve got you covered with Wi-Fi in the common area at staff accommodation and at the Discovery Centre.
