The eclectic community of Talkeetna thrives with historic legends and adventurous energy. This quintessentially Alaskan community is the jumping-off point for mountaineering expeditions to Denali, and is also a destination for some of the best fishing, hiking and rafting in Alaska.

At the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, our team showcases the best of Alaska inside and out. We’re at the doorstep for high-energy outdoor adventures in Denali and beyond, and we keep our guests rested and fueled up with our charming rooms, crackling fire in a giant river rock fireplace, and award-winning Alaska cuisine.

All About the Lodge

Less than two miles from Talkeetna on a grassy rise overlooking the mighty Alaska Range. The larger community of Wasilla is about 70 miles (1.5 hour drive) from Talkeetna.
The Team
Team numbers: 180 strong!
Summer Guests

We host over 40,000 guests from June through September, and in the spring for Northern Lights season.

Staff Housing

Stay cozy in staff housing with 2-4 roomies per room, with accommodation ranging from dorm-style rooms to shared apartments and small cabins. We’ve got you covered with common areas, an exercise room, laundry and a community kitchen on site. Lodging is provided for $7.00 per day.

Stay Nourished
We offer bi-weekly shuttles to make grocery shopping easy, and all team members in employee housing have access to the shared kitchen. Our team also loves to take advantage of discounted meals at our award-winning lodge restaurant.
Stay Connected
In our expert opinion, the best cell phone service provider in the area is AT&T. Wi-Fi is available throughout employee housing and the lodge.
Getting Around
A paved 14-mile trail leaves right from our doorstep for biking and running, and it’s a 1.7 mile walk to downtown Talkeetna. There is limited public transportation in the area, so a personal vehicle (or a friend with one!) is useful for exploring further afield.
