We walk softly and carry a big heart

Like you, we want to work and play with people who value authentic interactions and a deeper knowledge of the world around us. To ensure that happens, the operation of our properties and experiences is guided by our "Promise to Place". It outlines our responsibilities to manage our impact on the environment, foster respect for people and champion our communities.

Stewardship

The Environment

You come to us to immerse yourself in some of the world’s most pristine natural settings and eco-aware urban environments. Like you, we want to ensure those places remain spectacular and special for generations to come. Through responsible management practices and providing meaningful interpretive programming, we constantly improve our environmental initiatives and make good on this part of our promise.

Respect

The People

Whether you work with us, travel with us or are part of a community in which we work and live, you’ll have our respect—and we’ll earn yours. At Pursuit, we prioritize diversity and lead with inclusivity. It’s all about the welcome and the way we help make these places magical—for all who cross our path.

Community

Our Places

At every Pursuit location, we invite you “backstage” to celebrate our remarkable communities and open your heart and mind to experiences beyond what you came for. Maybe you’ll never leave. We get that: we haven’t left either. In fact we’ve poured ourselves into providing great support for the people and places that help sustain us.

Sky Lagoon’s Give Five benefit raised $30,000 for Rjóður, a nursing & rehabilitation centre.

Banff Gondola hosted events and raised $20,000 for local charities during Banff Pride Week.

All incandescent bulbs were replaced with 600 LED at Denali Backcountry Lodge.

For U.S. employees, Pursuit launched 12 weeks leave for new parents and 6 weeks for secondary caregivers.

FlyOver Canada donated $10,000 to red cross in British Columbia to support flood relief efforts.

Our Banff hotels significantly reduced single-use plastic with the goal of eliminating all by end of 2022.
